For those who don't know me I am Simon Osborne. I am 39 years old and was born in Birmingham, England. Shortly after my birth my family and I moved to Droitwich Spa in Worcestershire. This is where I spent most of my teenage life until I joined the Royal Air Force in 1988. I served in the RAF for 12 years in which time I was stationed in Belize, Germany and various parts of the United Kingdom including Wales, Scotland and of course England. My last posting from August 1997 was on 20 Squadron at RAF Wittering, Cambridgeshire where I maintained and serviced Harrier Jump Jets.

After leaving the RAF in June 2000 I settled in Stamford, Lincolnshire and secured a position in the IT Department at Uppingham School  which is an independent boarding school for children aged 13 to 18. The school dates back to 1583 and lists Stephen Fry amongst its many ex pupils. In March 2003 I started new employment , at Uppingham Community College in a new post and In April 2005 I started work with Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service working in ICT based at service HQ in Huntingdon.

After setting up home together in Stamford in 2002 with my girlfriend Deborah, we tied the knot in July 2005 at our parish church in Stamford. To complete our union our first child, Evie, was born in December 2006 weighing in at a petite 5lb 2oz. She is also the first Osborne in my paternal line to be born outside of Birmingham since 1761!

My interests are varied but my main pleasures in life are travelling, Skiing, Hiking, Photography, Music, Film, Socialising, Computing, Premiership Football and Genealogy.
